Hi, my name is Tori. My husband John was in a serious vehicle accident on 12-04-23. This accident resulted in a lot of damage to him.

He was headed home from work on slick roads with his Jeep and as he turned towards home and accelerated the tail end of the car slid and slammed him into some large sturdy jack pine trees.

This resulted in the front end of the vehicle being pushed in which then slammed the dash into his left leg just below the knee. This crushed the bone (tibial plateau) which then jammed his leg towards his hip which broke and was also dislocated. He also crushed the bones in his right wrist.

He was taken to minocqua marshfield clinic, and then transferred very shortly after to Marshfield clinic in Marshfield due to the severities of his injuries. Unfortunately, the hospitals up here are not equipped to deal with such trauma.

ALL of these injuries have required surgery. Surgery that was originally only going to be around 3 hours ended up being over 8 hours. He has lots of plates and screws holding everything together now. He will also require a full hip replacement within 4 years.

Due to the severity of all of his injuries the rehabilitation therapy, the physical therapy and occupational therapy are going to be a lot. Also with the severity he’s projected to be out of work for a minimum of 5 months. That’s just the minimum if everything goes smooth. At this time we’re not sure if he will require any more immediate surgeries or to fix things more.

If you know John, you know what a dedicated dad and hard worker he is. We’re going to have a HUGE loss of income for us. All while we were in the process of moving. This has also put a financial burden on his mom with her having to take time off of work to be with him while I stay with the kids. John lives to provide for his family. This is the man who worked 3 full time jobs while I was pregnant with our last baby just to make sure we had what we needed.

We are asking for financial help regarding just every day bills and now trying to pay for some professional movers to help us move. Any help is appreciated. We truly don’t know when we will have his income back or back to even full time.

We have found movers who we know thru a friend and are willing to give us a discounted deal of around $500 so even getting to that would help pay for movers.
