The Letchworth Adoption Journey

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for visiting our page. We are so excited that you have chosen to journey alongside us as we work to bring home Baby Letchworth!

As many of you know, we have battled infertility for several years. What initially seemed like a complicated (but doable!) medical process quickly progressed into one of our greatest fears. After years of appointments, tests, questions, prayers, and tears, we realized that having a biological child in the "traditional" way simply wasn't in the cards for us. After processing that difficult information, we were tasked with deciding whether to proceed with fertility treatments. Neither of us believed this was how we would grow our family, so after several more appointments and tests, we closed that chapter of our story as well. It seemed as though our journey was finished - that a Letchworth baby would never grace our presence.

One evening, Jessica randomly put out a call on Facebook to friends and family, asking about others' personal experiences with adoption. Through that single post and the connections flowing therefrom, God worked in a mighty way to open our hearts to the gift of adoption. It did not happen overnight, of course, but the good Lord revealed to us one step at a time over the next few weeks that, without a doubt, adoption was the path we were meant to take.

Once the decision was made, everything else has gracefully fallen into place thus far. We are humbled by the way God has orchestrated every single detail of the last several years for this moment. Words simply cannot express the gratitude we feel for the outpouring of love and support we have received from each of you.

The question we continue to hear is, "how can I help?" Many of you have already donated to our garage sale, while others plan to assist with additional fundraisers in the coming months. We quickly realized there were also several of you that wanted to help make this dream a reality by donating financially to our cause. Thus, the gofundme account was born! Without a doubt, God is working all things together for our good and the good of Baby Letchworth. We've been instructed to budget $35,000-50,000 to bring him or her home, which is a staggering number, to be sure! However, we are walking in faith that God will provide when Baby is ready.
