The Lewis-Hildebrand Family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Aimee and I am raising funds for close family friends. Due to a recent storm, the Lewis-Hildebrand family are dealing with devastation at their home. On Tuesday August 8th, a severe rainstorm took place with more than 6 inches of rain falling in 6 hours, causing widespread flooding in Andover, MA. Unfortunately, poor drainage quality in their area led to the water getting up to 5ft on their property and pouring into their basement until there was at least 12in. Ethan and Molly are doing everything they can including talking with their insurance company, contacting lawyers, reaching out to town and state representatives, etc. trying to receive the help they deserve.
At this time, insurance is unwilling to cover the damages, and there are several items that need to be replaced. Not only did they lose personal items and heirlooms, seasonal clothing and decor, and many other things in storage. They have also lost their washer and dryer, a chest freezer full of food, several large power tools (circular saw, table saw, miter saw) and a lawn mower. There were several building supplies lost (paint, caulking, wood, wainscoting) in addition to work Ethan had already completed since he was in the process of finishing their basement. They have already paid someone to come fix their boiler, and insurance has deemed their car a total loss. Cleanup expenses for the basement have already surpassed $3,000 and that’s before even considering the yard cleanup.
Please help this family so that they can begin the recovery process. You can help with a donation and/or by sharing this post to spread the word.
