Lisa Wade Memorial Scholarship Fund

HAPPY EARTH DAY BIRTHDAY, LISA ♥️

This year, in honor of Lisa’s 38th birthday, I am asking for donations to the Lisa Wade Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Before I go any further, YES we are still having Lisa’s race! The proceeds are used to fund scholarships, in Lisa’s name, at local high schools. We also fund an awesome free kid’s race, Corey’s Course, in memory of Lisa’s cousin, Corey Broadwater.

However, life has thrown some wrenches in our path. A lot of our faithful sponsors are no longer in business or unable to lend support. The cost of all of our supplies are up, due to inflation, so this may be an “iffy” year.

I (Lisa’s mom) personally, cannot get out seeking sponsors. Danny, Lisa’s dad, has recently been diagnosed with Large B-Cell Lymphoma and has just started chemotherapy treatments. This makes me housebound with him, as he is too weak to leave alone.

Since Lisa’s birthday is this month (Earth Day, April 22) I am asking for donations to be made to her scholarship fund. The Lisa Wade Scholarship Fund is a nonprofit organization, so your donation is tax deductible.
