The Liu Family Fund

Our beloved friend Xiangdong Liu unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, November 4th, at the age of 49, leaving behind his loving wife Tao Yu and their two high school children. After graduate studies in UMass Amherst and Revere College, Xiangdong had been working in the computer industry with a bright future. Liu family are residents of Andover, and are very involved in the surrounding communities. Xiangdong left his family, friends and our community much too soon.

With the main source of family income gone suddenly due to this tragedy, Liu family is now facing extreme stress and financial burdens. Our community always comes together at such times and supports each other. We are thankful for any support individuals or organizations may be able to provide. The funds of this gofundme campaign will go directly to Liu family, to assist with the funeral arrangements and everyday needs of the family during this difficult time and beyond.

Please keep the Liu family in your prayers as the weeks, months and years ahead are sure to be difficult for them. Please help us share and spread the words.

The service for Xiangdong will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 9:00am in Cataudella Funeral Home, located at 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen MA.

我们亲爱的朋友刘向东因急症抢救无效于2021年11月4日病逝， 离开了深爱的妻子于涛和两个上高中的儿子，享年49岁。刘向东生于1972年2月29日中国济南，毕业于中国海洋大学，1995年获全额奖学金赴美麻州大学Amherst 分校硕博连读，后一直从事计算机行业。他热爱生活，对家庭有很强的责任感。向东于涛一家平时热心公益，时常为社区服务奉献他们的智慧和心血。原本幸福的这四口之家，有两个正在读高中的儿子，妻子于涛多年一直在家相夫教子，向东的突然离世顿时使整个家庭陷入精神和经济困境之中。一方有难，八方相助。作为向东的朋友和邻里，我们恳请各位朋友伸出您的援手，一起帮助这个家庭走出困境。这里募集到的善款将直接转入刘向东于涛一家的银行账户，用于贴补向东告别式的费用以及日后母子三人的生活。无论多少，您的爱心都将在这个冬天把温暖注入这个不幸的家庭，谢谢您！
