The Llontop Family's Fight Against Cancer

Hi, my name is Shirley and I have created this GoFundMe account on behalf of the Llontop Family. Erica was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Anaplastic thyroid cancer. As everyone knows, cancer is horrifying and overwhelming. Erica's son and daughter have become her caregivers. Could you imagine having to navigate through medical terms, insurance issues and home care for your parent as a young adult? It is extremely challenging as a middle-aged adult. Kenneth and Edith have put their education on hold so they can care for their mother. The medical bills are mounting. Erica has already begun radiation and chemotherapy treatments. She has also experienced several life-threatening side effects from her illness. I have created this account to try to relieve a little of the financial burden so they can focus on Erica's care and healing. They are a tight knit family who have always been supportive of each other. One of the reasons that they are so close is because they only have each other. Erica raised two wonderful children as a single parent. She sacrificed so much to make sure that her children received the best education and the life they deserve. Edith and Kenneth are both past SPHS valedictorians. They both earned numerous academic accolades received throughout their education in San Pedro, CA. Kenneth was about to begin his sophomore year at Cal Berkeley while Edith is a recent graduate. Erica served the community by working at Barton Hill Elementary School for several years.
