The Lloyd McKenzie Family

A Company plea for the Family of Technician Lloyd McKenzie

Sadly, our Colorado premise installation technician, Lloyd McKenzie, passed away on Friday, December 29th. It’s taken us a while to collect all the necessary details. Although assigned to our Fort Collins Connexion project, he also regularly assisted our Loveland Pulse client as a helpful floater technician. He served our system operations for almost four years as a valued partner via Superior Communications. Unfortunately, Lloyd suffered physically from stomach/intestinal health complications. Upon finishing his premise routes on the 29th he became seriously ill and experienced severe stomach pain. He drove himself to a nearby emergency room and, upon evaluation, was sent immediately into emergency surgery. However, in the course of surgery his heart could not handle the emergency procedures. Regardless of the many medical interventions from the surgical team, Lloyd could not be resuscitated and passed away on the operations table.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Patricia and sons Mark, Neil, and James. Sadly, Lloyd carried no life insurance and maintained minimal savings. Many workers in the technical trades unfortunately exist in similar situations of surviving paycheck to paycheck. The family will hold a private memorial on February 17th to scatter his ashes. At this particular crisis point, the greatest need for the McKenzie family is simply emergency financial assistance to stay afloat.

Comment from PM Justin Manon (Fort Collins Connexion):
“Lloyd was a diligent individual who took pride in his work. He put all his efforts into every aspect of what he did. He looked out for those around him and went out of his way to make sure others were taken care of. He will be greatly missed and will always be well remembered.”

Comment from PM Eric Crenwelge (Loveland Pulse):
“Lloyd was a caring individual who put his best into everything he took on. After knowing Lloyd for just a short time, it was very evident he was a very detailed and well thought out individual, and that showed in his work and conversations. He was a great role model for our younger technicians and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. We will miss getting to hear about his finds for his eBay shop or what sales he was making, but most off all we will miss his genuine care for those around him.”

And from my own desk here in Fort Collins:
“As for me personally, Lloyd conducted our in-home installation appointment for Fort Collins Connexion and was a fine professional. I was proud of how he represented On Trac and our client. He actually employed some installation practices I had not seen before. Very positive experience as I watched him work in my own home. Came away very pleased with his work. His quality of work greatly assisted with our company reputation. Yes, Sonya and I will also donate to this cause.”

Any financial gifts at this point are a much needed blessing during this very painful and depressing season of transition and regrouping for the McKenzie family. David Rosier with Superior Communications is also stepping up with donations from his company. David is a solid partner contractor for On Trac but resources are limited. At this point, we’re not setting a funding “goal” as the need is simply overwhelming. Please consider any gift of any amount. Every dollar is important. Donations will transfer directly to the family with On Trac oversight, audit, and evidence of direct transfer.

Thanks in advance for your consideration for this serious need.
