The Lois Project
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Melissa. I decided to start this project to spread love and kindness to the hardworking healthcare workers of Alberta. Right now the Alberta medical system is collapsing before our very eyes. Recent cuts to nurse wages, burnout from the pandemic and protests outside of hospitals have been pushing our healthcare workers morale to the limit. Let’s show these hardworking men and women that there are people out there who are still cheering them on for everything they do! With every penny raised i will be purchasing as many bouquets of flowers as possible and handing them out to healthcare workers who need a pick-me-up. I’ve already done this once with my own money and the response from the healthcare workers was overwhelmingly positive.
I decided to call this the Lois Project as a nod to a special woman in my own life; my 82 year old grandmother Lois, who was a nurse her entire life and loved her job very much. Thank you so much to anyone who can help me keep this going! i will name any donators (if possible) on my instagram page dedicated to the Lois Project so all our nurses and healthcare workers can see and feel the love!
