The Lotz Family
Donation protected
I have started this fund to help support the Lotz family as they navigate through a burden no family should have to go through. I have just recently received the news that my friend Jennifer Salamun Lotz has been diagnosed with inoperable aggressive malignant gliomas. The FUMC Community, my family, and many other individuals who have had the pleasure to know Jennifer feel the pain this diagnosis brings and cannot even begin to imagine what her family is going through. I can not write in words the kind of person Jennifer is. She is truly a soul that touches everyone she meets as she exudes peace, Christ, and compassion. She spent her life to spread this compassion as a missionary in Haiti, mother of 7 children, and loving wife to Eric Lotz. Her entire family shares in Jennifer's kindness and spreads love to everyone they meet. For a glimpse into the caring spirit of the Lotz, I have attached a post made by Eric: "Unfortunately, all of Jennifer’s physicians are in agreement that the tumors are inoperable. Radiation and chemo will begin within two weeks following more appointments to set it all up. These treatments are palliative in nature, i.e. meant to reduce symptoms and maintain quality of life for as long as possible but are not a cure.
We continue to pray for healing but whatever the outcome we have no greater joy than knowing Christ and placing our hope and trust in Him. The medical community can give us their best effort, but Christ has already given His all on our behalf. I’ll check back in once we get treatments underway."
As Jennifer has always been a caregiver, it is our time to take care of her. Please as you are able open your hearts and give to ease a financial burden for this beautiful family who has given so much for others.
Thank you
