Hello, my name is Jaclyn and I am asking for help for Ron who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia back in January of this year.

Symptoms of a low red blood cell count include: fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, dizziness symptoms of a low white blood cell count include: frequent infections, fever symptoms of a low platelet count include: bruising easily, severe nosebleeds, loss of appetite, etc.

When he was first diagnosed he spent a weekend in the hospital and he did not have medical insurance at the time. That weekend is costing the family a hefty $52,000. After getting blood transfusions during that weekend, Ron felt better for a few weeks. He was then rushed to the emergency room where he was transferred to the hospital. He has been at this hospital for the last 3 months getting transfusions for red blood cells and platelets.

The next step for this family will be to relocate to Miami(housing expenses)for a period of 3-4 months for appointments and a bone marrow transplant (more expenses). Although Ron now has medical insurance, their portion of the bills, continue to pile up. Any little bits helps.
