The Maginn Family

Hi , I'm campaigning to help the Maginn family as their son, Kevin, has been in the hospital for over a week. Kevin was admitted to MUSC when he suddently presented symptoms of a stroke at work. After a few days sedated, the doctors diagnosed him with Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis, possibly from an unidentified virus. Kevin has come a long way in his recovery journey but is still experiencing focal seizures from brain swelling. Kevin is undergoing plasmapheresis to try to reset his immune system.

Autoimmune encephalitis causes confusion, memory loss and seizures that are often followed by alteration of consciousness and changes in blood pressure, heart rate and temperature.

Not only is this a challenge for Kevin, but this has disrupted the entire Maginn family. All proceeds will go towards medical bills and supporting the family during this difficult time.
