The Majestic Leonard

I'm writing on behalf of Shelby, who has had a rough time this year. A few months ago she had to say goodbye to her best friend, Jaime, way too early and now she is having to make the dreaded decision to say goodbye to her other best friend, Lenny. She's had Leonard since he was a kitten (Jaime actually found Lenny and insisted Shelby take care of him), and they have an unparalleled bond. As our furry friends do, Lenny has supported and loved Shelby and been her rock through the ups and downs of life the last fourteen years.

She found out early this morning that he is experiencing heart failure and possibly has cancer. Thankfully, the vet was able to drain fluid from his heart and he was able to come home (that surgery cost $2600, along with the cost of meds that he has for home). Shelby is grateful for this time they have, but is facing financial hardships due to vet bills, having to call off work and ultimately the cost for euthanasia. She isn't sure how she is going to dig herself out of this hole without help, which is really difficult to ask for. Any amount will help. A cup of coffee, a monthly subscription, a generous gift, whatever you might be able to afford will be met with extreme gratitude.
