The Maki Family

Early Friday morning (2/24), Garrett & Anna Maki’s sweet 5month old Alice was found face down in her crib hardly breathing and unresponsive. After Anna called 911, they were brought to the hospital and Alice was treated for a bit in the ER before transferring to the pediatric ICU. Alice seemed to be on the mend on Saturday, waking for short times and seeming fairly content. But Saturday night, she starting having less interest in eating and had a few episodes of sleep apnea.

Sunday she was very lethargic, hardly reacting to stimulation. She got an MRI and they are currently running an EEG to monitor for seizure activity.

She has had multiple seizures since they started the test so they started a medication to help with them. They are waiting to hear a more in depth analysis of the MRI and EEG.
