The Mallory Barker Children

Hi my name is Kim Colegrove. I am the Realtor for this family and have known them for many years. We closed on their home here on July 10th, 2023. Only Mallory had to sign because her husband gave her power of attorney. He was already in Hawaii supposedly getting everything ready for his family to join him when their home in Michigan sold.

This was that closing post! “Aloha Hawaii” “is what my sellers are saying as they pack up and ditch their winter stuff to move to paradise! I admire them both so much to make such BOLD moves to live their best life! Congratulations to the Barkers, Mallory Barker, Daryl Barker and their 3 babies!“

HOWEVER- As Mallory was packing up everything here she started seeing signs that something was awry. Most notably he wouldn’t give her access to any of the net proceeds from the sale. (Over $65,000) The funds were wired to a new account he opened in Hawaii. He told Mallory he would add her when she got to Hawaii. As events unfolded Mallory learned she was betrayed, abandoned and left with no money and HOMELESS with their 3 children 12, 9 and 4. In 5 months he has not communicated with any of them nor has he sent any support. Please see below for Mallory’s heartbreaking announcement on their recent anniversary.

Happy 9th wedding anniversary to my dear absent husband.

He always said I had a way with words, so here it goes. What we thought was all our dreams coming true, was all just one big lie.

As many of you have seen, Daryl and I are not on the island of Maui together as a happy ohana like we had planned. As a matter of fact, I haven’t seen or heard from him in months.

My husband made different plans while he was away in Maui for 4 months and didn’t bother to share them with me, or our three children.

Daryls only plan was him and his girlfriend, living the dream in Maui, with our money! The money we had earned from selling our home. The kids and I sold all of our belongings besides what would fit into the “two boxes each” we were allowed to put into the U-haul container that was to be shipped to the island. He left behind all of his belongings besides those that he could fit into his suitcase, left his children and left our marriage. No explanation from him as why he would do this or where our money is? Here we are five months later, still not one word from him as he is living his best new life. The kids and I are now safely in Florida with my sister and brother-in-law, relying on them to put a roof over our heads as we were left homeless with empty promises of a home and a new life in Maui. This is our new life, just the four of us. I have struggled with being silent, as I deal with the biggest heartache of my life, but I can’t be silent any longer. I pray for the day you wake up from the nightmare you have made become our reality. I will continue to pick up the broken pieces and make our children feel whole again. I will do everything in my power to have them never experience this pain that you have caused, ever again. So Happy 9 Years my love, I hope you’re happy now, may you receive back in multiple the heartache you have caused.
