The man who’s always helped us now needs our help

Hello friends and family,

You may have heard that Joe is currently sedated in the ICU on a ventilator while fighting Covid Pneumonia and a bacterial Pneumonia.

On September 8th, Joe became ill and quickly went downhill. On September 17th he was admitted into the hospital. On September 18th, he was transferred to the ICU and was intubated on September 24th where he remains today.

Joe has a fierce spirit and inspires us all to live life to the fullest. He loves with his whole heart and isn’t afraid to say it. His laugh is infectious and his hugs are genuine.

The effects of this illness are devastating to us all. The prognosis, with medicine, is a five to ten percent survival rate, with intense therapy/rehabilitation. We have faith and know Joe will make it home but he has a long road ahead of him.

Cassandra is currently commuting five hours every other day as her and Rachael alternate days spent by Joe’s side. Commuting is their only option as hotel stays are not cheap.

We can’t cure Joe, but we can help ease the financial burden and resultant stress that Cassandra and Rachael are facing. Our goal is to raise $5,000.00 to help with medical bills, transportation, lodging, and anything else Cassandra and Rachael may need in an attempt to lessen the burden they both carry and allow them to continue standing by Joe’s side so he never spends a day alone.
