The Manny Pacheco Granite Memorial Bench
Donation protected
I, Virginia Morales, my aunt Elizabeth Braulia Rios Pacheco and the Pacheco family are seeking help from the Perth Amboy community to honor musician and humanitarian Manny Pacheco with a granite memorial bench to be placed at the Perth Amboy waterfront at Bayview Park. With over 300 petition signatures, the people have spoken and want to see Manny's memory be honored. Manny was a recording artist who sang Salsa in English and Spanish on Latin tv and radio stations. Manny played many instruments (guitar, piano, drums, etc..) and was self-taught. He had his own home recording studio and worked with many artists, including Glen Vargas and Marc Anthony's father Felipe Muniz. Manny was a public servant, volunteering in the community he so loved. He recorded the Clean Up jingle used in schools for the Keep Perth Amboy Clean Initiative. He taught youth music lessons in guitar, drums, piano and singing in the Perth Amboy Arts Gallery and in his home studio. He would perform in city events and local parrandas. Manny lived and breathed music.
Manny Pacheco was a man who lived his entire life helping others in his community ( Perth Amboy, New Jersey ). He passed away on February 9, 2022, at the age of 61. He was so beloved in this city that when my family and I went to get signatures to get the Statue put up, the Mayor was the first one to sign the petition. Many people already told my family and me that they are willing to give to a GoFundME for this very deserving memorial and very special man. Please hekp us with our dream by donating $5, $10 or $20. We need $1000 more to honor el Maestro Manny Pacheco.
