The Marlene Leyva Memorial Fund
Donation protected
It is with great sadness to announce the unexpected and tragic passing of Marlene Elizabeth Leyva. Marlene, was a dedicated and strong independent Mother of 7. She was a kind, loving and caring individual who strongly believed in the importance of family. With faith and hard work, she was able to raise us all and send 4 of us to college. As a kid, I can remember the countless number of nights of wanting to sleep next to my mom but couldn't due to her working multiple shifts in a day.

She worked non-stop, multiple jobs at once, for many years just to be able to provide for us. For 20 years, Marlene worked at American Guest Care-Home and cared for the lives of many adults who suffered from extreme drug/alcohol addiction. She loved her career very much and enjoyed helping others in need. Unfortunately, her working life ended when she suffered from a severe workplace injury and developed a rare disease in her blood. That is why she was blessed with 4 men to help her walk and carry her when her legs gave out and her disease worsened, which prevented her from walking again.

Marlene had the heart of an angel and always did the impossible for her family and loved ones. With little to no money, she was still able to get by and provide for us all with the resources we needed to live a healthy life. We are eternally grateful for everything she had sacrificed for us. Even though she passed just before Mother's Day, her legacy will continue to live amongst us. May her beautiful and blessed soul rest in peace.

During these times of uncertainty and sadness, many people join forces amongst each other and help with anything they can. We completely understand that times are tough due to this current pandemic going on and are extremely thankful for any support. Any amount of contribution helps tremendously.
All proceeds will go to funeral and memorial expenses of Marlene Elizabeth Leyva. All remaining proceeds will be put into an emergency fund for Marlene's grandchildren Adam Reyes and Vincent Leyva.
