The Marquez Family Needs Your Help

Hi, we are really good friends of the Marquez family and we are asking for your help for their son Raul Jr. who just turned 16 years old.

We are optimistic that Raul Jr. will pull through this trial but we don't know what the future holds when it comes to their finances and what type of hidden costs will come their way.

Instead of being reactive, we wanted to be proactive and start this GoFundMe for the family, so when those costs do come, they won't have to take on any more stress than they already have.

Raul is an AMAZING and unique young man. We have had the pleasure to know him since he was 6 years old and he has always been one of the kindest and happiest kids we know. He is pretty much great at all sports but excels in basketball and loves kicking our butts whenever he gets the chance.

We could go on and on about Raul and how talented he is but the one thing that sticks out the most is how big his heart is.

He is the one kid who is always willing to help and always the first to welcome newcomers who come into our group and make them feel welcome.

He is a leader and kids really do look up to him.

If you know Raul, you know there is this light about him that makes it feel so good to be around him.

We really do love this kid and want the best for him!

Unfortunately for now, Raul Jr. has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer).

It is in his left leg below his knee, in a few little spots on both lungs and a good size mass on his left lung.

Raul has started chemo treatments and will continue this for the next 29 weeks or so.

As mentioned before, we don't know what the future holds when it comes to their finances and what type of hidden costs will come their way.

Anything will help, and if you can't give anything, that's okay too, even just strong words of encouragement and adding his name to your prayers would really help a lot.
