The Marshall Project-Preserving our history

Donation protected
My name is Ken, and Marshall Morgan was the first person I met at Wrightsville Beach my freshman year at UNCW in 1987. This was the beginning of a friendship with a Wrightsville Beach/Wilmington legend. Marshall was a significant part of everyone’s lives who spent any time in the bars and clubs. He was THE historian when none of us had phone cameras. Marshall has been recognized as worthy of a documentary, which led to the discovery of a treasure trove of pictures of us. The documentary is going to be epic and will finally give recognition to a very special person, I, along with a team of others, are in the process of securing all the pictures from the mid-80s to 2005. We are going to digitize them and create a website where everyone can access and download them, and hopefully, create something that Marshall can use in the future to upload his pictures. We have a chance to finally pay Marshall for the pictures he took. We will monetize the website for Marshall by charging a small fee to access it once it is done. Everyone who gives will have access. Hopefully, once the website is in place, he can use it to upload the current pictures he takes when he is out and about in Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. This is to preserve our history. If you have it in your heart to help, I encourage you to give. The expenses includes mini storage to secure the physical pictures, digitizing them all, and creating a website for access.
