JULY 2023 - Well folks, it's time for one last try to get me where I need to be. Basically homeless and couch surfing for the month of July. But In the beginning of August I'll be moving to Vermont! After that, I will close this GFM permanently. Just need to cover gas and other on the road expenses, alongside shipping some boxes. I'm very excited, this is everything I've been working towards. I will miss Austin, and in many ways I already do. But I'm looking forward to new horizons ahead. Thanks for all your help and support!

EDIT: THANK YOU to everyone that has helped out. Without you i could never have afforded to move my stuff and put it into storage (about $700 initially, and $300 additionally so far), nor would I have been able to move into my current (temporary?) location, or keep myself alive the past 2 months. All that said... the cost of living and rentals has increased way more than I had ever realized, and maybe I underestimated what I would need to move forward. Since several people have recently asked for me to re-open this fundraiser, I have adjusted the goal. Please do not feel the need to contribute if you have already done so. I don't like to lean on people, and I'm humbly grateful to every single last one of you. You have my love.

As you may already know, my mother passed away this summer. With little notice, I lost the family support I had been relying on to help me through the difficulties of navigating the pandemic as an immunocompromised person.

I’m now scrambling to figure out my next steps after my lease ends on January 6th. In particular, I’m looking for a way to afford movers and a storage space for my belongings. I continue to look for a work-from-home job that will allow me to both support myself and protect my health.

Initial funds will all go to moving and relocation expenses. Everything on top of that will be toward securing a roof over my head. I appreciate so much each and every one of you that is able to help me through this, ensuring that I don’t go homeless this coming year.
