The Martyn family

Some of you may know that about a year ago Beth got the devestating news that her cancer had come back with a stage 4 terminal diagnosis. This came as such a shock as she was nearing her 5 years of remission mark. Only a few months earlier Beth had stopped working to open up her home to her mom and dad so she could care for Frank in the final weeks of his battle with cancer.

Until recently Beth’s cancer had been fairly “stable” with her regular treatment regime. But soon brutal headaches and an MRI exam showed that her cancer had unfortunately spread throughout the brain.

She is currently going through 5 rounds of intense full brain radiation which comes with its share of nasty side effects but with the hope that it will give her some time and a better quality of life that she is so deserving of.

It’s an extremely scary and uncertain time and more than anything Beth needs to be surrounded by her family (husband Terry, and kids Kennedy , Oliver and Katelyn). As Terry being self employed and the sole provider for the family, I can’t imagine the turmoil he must feel needing to work, but also needing/wanting to be there for Beth as much as possible. This would also give some financial cushion to support and allow the kids to maintain a bit of normalcy and continue to keep up with their sports and activities with both parents present, which would be such a gift for the whole family
