The Mary Bradford Recovery Fund

Story told by Mary's sister Carmela.
As many of you know, my sister Mary suffered a stroke on April 1st this year and has been hospitalized and in rehab for the past 2 months. The stroke partially paralyzed her left side leaving virtually no use of her left arm. She is working hard to regain movement and walk again. She is considered young (57) for having a stroke; however, this comes 16 years following a brain aneurysm. It’s incredible how she remains hopeful, prayerfully positive, and optimistic about her health challenges. Before the stroke Mary worked for the County helping special needs adults, was a chaplain, taught Sunday School and was living with my mom (86) and disabled uncle (83) overlooking and tending to their needs.
She recently was transferred back to my mom’s house and needs full time care and numerous therapists to help improve her mobility and strength. Insurance does not cover caregiver service and she has mounting medical bills and certainly unable to work for an undetermined length of time. The family is all “on board” for support and aid as needed right now, but the insurmountable cost for past recovery as well as future is concerning; hence, the purpose of this communication and fund. Mary has revolved her life around finding ways to help others and now she is in need. Whether you are able to give financially or prayerfully, we deeply thank you!
