The Maxey Family

My name is Chris Oldenkamp and I’m putting together this fundraiser for Rich & Sheryl Maxey.

As many of you know, Rich and Sheryl have two awsome boys- Owen and Zachary. Zachary has unfortunately suffered from Dravet Syndrome which not only takes a huge toll on him, but his parents and brother as well. If you know Rich, you’re lucky. He’s one of the kindest most genuine men I know and he’s just that kinda guy who would give his shirt off his back or his last $5 to help you out. More than likely he’s done some sort of favor for you one way or another just because he’s that kinda guy. Always there to help others. Never says no. Just a real genuine friend to everyone he meets.

I know there have been a lot of fundraisers in honor of Zachary. There has been countless forms of awareness brought to his condition, there’s been races and events held in his honor, unfortunately his condition- it’s one that has no cure and the money generally goes to the Dravet Foundation to help find one.

I know Rich, and he will never ask for help so I am asking for you buddy. I know if I mentioned this to you you wouldn’t have even let me make one but I’m doin it anyway.

I don’t want to see you and Sheryl have to worry about making money and spending time away from your boys when they need you the most. I don’t want you to have to worry about a damn thing when you never know what tomorrow brings. The one and only thing you guys should have to do is worry about them and giving all your focus to them without worrying about other things.

So if we can all come together and help the Maxey family be able to give their time and energy to Zachary and Owen and donate even a buck, anything helps. A prayer helps. Hittin the share button helps. Reaching out to them privately helps. Literally anything helps.

The money will go to their bills, time off from work when they need to handle emergencies with Zachary and/or anything else they may need help with during this difficult time.
