The Maze Family Emergency Fund
Donation protected
On February 9, 2017, my parents, Harold and Jacqueline Maze, and younger brother, William Maze, lost their home in Selma, Alabama due to a fire.
My brother had just enough time to detect the fire on the back porch and managed to get our father out of the front door before the fire consumed the entire house.
Currently, my father is in critical condition and on life support in Birmingham, Alabama. He is fighting to live with our immediate family by his side. He is surrounded by all of us (my mother, Jackie, brother, William, sister, Janeka, nephew, Devin, and myself) at the hospital. We hope that he can pull through this challenging situation.
Overall, our family is thankful everyone made it out of the fire and praying that our father recovers as soon as possible.
We are so thankful for all of the supportive messages and visits from extended family and friends during this challenging time. We are grateful for the gift of life and realize that possessions are replaceable.
Presently, my mother and brother are temporarily staying with my family in Birmingham as we monitor my father's condition.
In addition to the house, my family lost all of their possessions and medical supplies as a result of the fire. We appreciate any assistance to help during this time.
Thank you for all of the prayers and gifts of support. Every gesture, no matter how big or small, matters more than you know.
