The Mighty McCarrell Kids

Donation protected
On Saturday December 9th 2023, Pat McCarrell suddenly passed away. He was a "one-of-a-kind" friend, Coach, and family man. To know him was to love him. He made it really easy. You knew you were important,or atleast felt that way, when Pat was around. I feel like I knew him for a lifetime and my family will forever be changed because we knew Pat McCarrell. He coached with Matt for FMYSA and all of the families, that were lucky to have Coach Pat, are forever grateful for his impact in their son's life. Who am I kidding?!? On ALL of our lives. We only got to be his friend for a short blip of his great life, but he was an "EVERYDAY" kind of friend. He was Always there when you needed him, and would do anything for anyone, he might complain, but he was still there. Our family will always remember the undeniable love and the much needed tough love, that we were given by Pat, and the many many many laughs, and eye rolls, along the way.

He was a lot of things but an AMAZING FATHER was at the very top of that list. He has 4 children who are being greatly affected by the loss of their rock and biggest fan. He has 2 daughters, Caitlin and Caroline, who are in their 20's. Caitlin just recently got engaged, to Connor, and Pat was ecstatic to share this news and walk her down the aisle, to give her away to the love of her life. She is a teacher and leaves such a mark on all of the kids that know her. She now has a lot more on her plate, that she definitely was not expecting, but welcomes with an open heart because she LOVES big, just like Pat. Caroline is going to school to become a teacher and Pat loved sharing that with people. He was so proud of her. She is rocking it and he would talk non stop about all of the accomplishments that she had and how much he liked her boyfriend,Andre. His son Tanner is a 19 year old young man who is a spitfire and was Pat's right hand man when it came to anything he needed. Tanner leaned on Pat for a ton of support in the day to day that will be greatly missed. And last but not least, Tucker, Pat’s little sidekick/mini me,who is growing up to be such a tough young man. At the young age of 10 he has lost both parents. These kids lost their mom 5 years ago and Pat was rocking this single Dad gig after losing the love of his life. I remember always thinking that Pat was one of the best dads I had ever met. He never let his kids, even the adult ones, use anything as a crutch and he was raising them to be STRONG, independent, and to love and respect others! He did EVERYTHING he could to make sure that his family was well taken care of. He was setting them up to be such successful citizens of society. Tough but loving and would give you the shirts off of their backs.

Our hopes for setting up this fund is that, as time goes on, they will be able to have a cushion to land on when times get “real”. It will not be for one specific thing, but many day to day needs/essentials that will start to trickle in. They will have a place to go that will remind them of their dad and how much people care about them and their needs. The financial support would help them exponentially for years to come. With Tucker being the youngest, at only 10 years old, he will need things that have not even crossed their minds because they haven’t happened to him yet. Pat raised the girls to work hard for what they need and to face everything with a fierceness that only a McCarrell could possess and to not back down from anything because they were just a “girl”. Who run the world?!? GIRLS!
Tanner is more responsible than most adults we know because Pat never let him use his differences to hold him back. He could also rule the world even though I just said that girls run the world. If you know Tucker, you know that he is an old soul because he has always had older siblings to look up to but he is still a little kid in the grand scheme of things and will need financial support. Caitlin is getting married and will need to focus on the first stages of starting her own family, while keeping Tucker safe and sound as he grows up. His Uncle Scott McCurdy and Aunt Amanda have also decided to take on the “baseball” side of life, which is huge. Tucker will need transportation to and from places. We will also help out with that part.

We will always be around to support and love on the McCarrell Crew and would love for you guys to come alongside us. They are going to do great things and I can't wait to be a part of it. Pat would have loved how much everyone has come around the kids and loved them so well. Let's show up for them and MAKE IT RAIN!!!! OK, sorry for that but for real, Let's show up for this sweet family.
