The McClellan Family... Deidra, Jordan, and Aaron

Hi, my name is Karen Cox and I am starting this fundraiser for my nephew Daniel McClellan, and his family. His wife Deidra, oldest son Jordan(12), and youngest son Aaron(2) were in a terrible head-on collision on September 22nd 2023 in Bakersfield, CA. They were hit by a car going 55 mph in a 25 mph zone, the car that hit them was in their lane. All three of them suffered extensive injuries.

Deidra was rushed into emergency surgery for internal bleeding where she lost a kidney, gallbladder, and a lot of blood. After her surgery she was placed in ICU on a ventilator.

Both of the boys were transferred to Valley Children's Hospital in Madera. Aaron was sent to Madera in a Critical Care Unit with an accompanying nurse. Jordan was sent via ambulance.

Aaron suffered a fractured clavicle, and rib and has a possible concussion. He is awaiting another scan to clear his C spine and make sure his tiny little heart is okay. We are hoping that he will be able to leave the PICU and be transferred to a regular room soon.

Jordan suffered a fractured arm, clavicle, and ankle. He also has fluid in his pelvic region. Today he will be having two surgeries to repair the fractures, and exploratory of his abdomen. Jordan had to endure the horror of seeing his mother unconscious and laying in blood. That is going to take some time to recover from.

Daniel is splitting his time between Bakersfield, and Madera to be with his kids and wife. Daniel and Deidra both work for Dollar General, but will have to take time off. We don't know how long it will be before Deidra can return to work. They were supposed to be moving into their new house in 3 weeks, and as of right now that may not happen. With the loss of an income and the incoming medical bills this is going to put an undue hardship on this young family.

I know it is a lot to ask, but all I ask is that you donate a small amount or even just share this as much as possible. I want them to be able to focus on healing, and not have to worry about losing the future home they have been waiting to move into.
