The Measure We Use- Jem Garcia Vinluan Fundraiser
Donation protected
Jeremy Garcia Vinluan is exactly the kind of guy you want to be friends with. "Jem," as we know him, began attending ITE Project events last fall and has spent the better part of a year joining us on various projects and at events. His contagious smile and friendliness have added so much to our community.
Jem is most recently from Virginia and has spent his working years in nonprofits that serve the deaf and people who are hard of hearing in different states. His passion for helping people to be equitable is inspiring and what caused him to leave his family to work here in Cleveland, Ohio. However, in August, he will fully resign his job in Cleveland, Ohio, to enter St. Mary's Seminary in Wickliffe to discern a call to the priesthood.
And we, The ITE Project, support him fully and are so proud of his willingness to discern the call. Therefore, we have started a GoFundMe for his school expenses and specifically for a laptop for his studies. His current one is severely outdated.
The ITE Project will not take any proceeds from this fundraiser; every dollar raised goes directly to Jem. If we raise more money than our intended amount, we will continue to forward those funds to Jem to be used as he sees necessary for his graduate school education.
For example, if the campaign raises $500, The ITE Project will write a check directly to Jem for $500 and cover the fees associated with GoFundMe. If the campaign raises $2,500, ITE will write a check directly to Jem for $2,500 and cover the fees associated.
Jesus taught us in Luke 6:38 that the measure we use will be measured back to us. May we be most generous as this young man discerns his calling.
Please help us spread the good news by sharing.
