On June 26, 2020, Megan Lorraine Kearney passed away suddenly and peacefully in her sleep. She was 23 years old and she lived a life as amazing and full as many of you know. She is so loved by her parents, Matt and Lisa, her big brother Sean, her boyfriend Nathan, and her best friends Chelsea, Paige, and Olivia. She attended St. Edward Central Catholic High School in Elgin, Illinois during the years 2011-2015. In those four years, Megan played on the Girls Varsity Soccer Team and quickly proved herself a fierce competitor. She totaled 40 goals and 16 assists over four seasons, and during her junior year, she helped lead the team to the IHSA State Championship in 2014. The list below shows all of the notable accolades Megan achieved during her four seasons on the team. Megan had such a passion for soccer that she continued to play club soccer at the University of Iowa, where she was elected as the club President. She managed her team and planned multiple trips for tournaments.
