The Michael Buono Fund

My name is Tiffany, wife of Mike and mama to our two beautiful children. We are facing unimaginable times. Mike is an American patriot to his core. He worked hard to make something of himself and joined the Marine Corps., 2:3 Fox Company, at 23 year old. He served this country with honor in tours to Iraq and to Afghanistan, receiving an honorable discharge in 2010. His patriotism for this country didn't end with his discharge though; he spent his time volunteering at his local fire department, giving talks about forestry skills to young Daisy's, and as an avid researcher for truth. Spreading truth even when it was difficult for others to hear to make our nation a better, stronger version of itself.
In full military style, our love story was unconventional from the start. We met and married in less than two weeks, and in a few short days, we will be celebrating our 7 year wedding anniversary. In 6 days, we are supposed to be celebrating our 7 year wedding anniversary, and in another 2 weeks his 37th birthday, but yesterday we learned that things will be different this year and for our entire future. Mike, after not feeling well for a little over a week, went to the ER and was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia. In less than 48 hours from diagnosis, he has been admitted to the Oncology wing, further tests and biopsies are being done, and Chemo has been started. We have been told he will remain admitted through out his treatment and recovery which could last 5 weeks or longer with an unknown future to follow.
Our 4 year old and 3 year old don't quite understand why daddy can't come home or why they can't go see him. Daisy (our four year old) is focused on planning "The most Bestest" Birthday party for her father and her optimism for his swift recovery gives me hope. This fund is designed to help with medical expenses, child care costs, travel costs for treatments and other unexpected expenses/needs that arise as we transition through this time. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. WWG1WGA
