The Mike Leist Memorial Scholarship

Michael started teaching as a second career after a successful long stint in the tech industry. He left the tech field to begin teaching because he wanted to impact students' lives. He wanted to make a difference and he did. The Mike Leist Memorial Scholarship annual $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a high-performing senior chosen by the history department teachers at Steinbrenner High School in Lutz, FL. The chosen student will be selected by the history department according to their critical thinking skills and performance in history courses.

Monies collected during the GoFundMe will be deposited into a savings account, to be held until the scholarship is awarded in December of each year.
