The Milestone Club has been in existence since 1969, and has been referred to as the CBGB's of the South, but in all honesty it's its own thing and not in need of comparison. The venue has hosted such legendary bands as Nirvana, REM, The Go-Gos, The Melvins, Black Flag, Dinosaur Jr, Sext Message and so many others.

The venue continues to be a vital piece of the Charlotte music scene in 2020, hosting rock, metal, punk, rap and anything in-between. The Milestone is typically open 7 days a week, including events like yoga and karaoke.
The Milestone has closed its doors in the wake of Covid-19 and its reopening date, like other businesses across the world, is unknown at this time. Many employees, bartenders, door-people, and sound engineers have been left without work for the foreseeable future.
This gofundme, along with streaming benefit shows, will go directly into the pockets of those out of work, not even beginning to address expenses related to the general upkeep of the building (rent, etc.).
It's a tough world out there in the midst of this pandemic, so if you don't have anything to give just simply share the link with friends and family. If you do have something to give we ask you just to consider the money you may have spent coming to an upcoming show or would have tipped your bartender. Every little bit counts.
Be safe out there, wash your hands, and be kind to one another, from a safe distance, of course.
