A New Heart for Bill

August 28, 2023 Update

So Gretchen had emergency surgery early this morning (3:30am) to remove her appendix. She will be out of work for at least a week.

Bill is still holding strong. Lacy recently had knee surgery. Kyra is back at college. So this is gong to be a hard recovery.

Please join me in helping Bill and Gretchen cover their monthly expenses while Bill rest, heals and waits for his heart transplant.

Bill was hospitalized after a 'routine' heart cath. His heart was not improving on his current meds so they changed them and got him stabilized. Bill is home now, but has a long road ahead of him

Gretchen was able to apply and receive FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) however Virginia does not participate in the salary reimbursement part of it and her salary pays the bills. Their monthly expenses are close to $2500 and that doesn't include food and gas.

Gretchen is preparing to take time off to help him to get to all his testing and ready for his transplant while still parenting 3 kids.

Kyra leaves for her senior year at college mid August, Lacy starts her senior year of high school this fall and Thomas is entering into 7th grade and he requires intense therapies.
