The Milly Project

To Friends of The Milly Project,

We remain humbled, grateful, and inspired by our beloved community. Our mission is Milly’s mission, to seek freedom, mercy, and change. Due to the illness that sweeps our land, we will be making a digital memory of The Milly Project to be utilized for diversity, inclusion, and equity education for lawyers, justices, youth, conferences, and a few film festivals.  

The gift of Milly Sawyers’ story, a matriarch and founder of Springfield,Missouri, is personal and yet a universal walk wrapped in loneliness and courage on the battlegrounds of our shared history, the oppressive laws of the land, and a continued dangerous systemic framework. 

If you are able to donate monetarily to this journey, know that your provision and endorsement will be received by kind hearts and devotion to truth-telling and light seeking. Any small contribution is enough. For those who cannot, this is one part of the reason we tell the story. Thanks to everyone who believes in Milly. We feel her walking in our city and wish to widen the pathway for gathering friends beyond our city and maybe even our nation. It will take humble heroes to break the bonds.

The Milly Project has become a resident company at  the Gillioz Center For Arts & Entertainment, which is also providing guidance through this process and all funds donated are specifically earmarked to The Milly Project and the filming process.
