The Minihane family are a family of 4 that live in Hastings.
Farther Ian, mother Thea and their two children.
Both Ian and Thea are hard working parents that love and care for their children dearly.. unfortunately their hard work load had to come to a halt when Ian became extremely ill in the last few years.. with Thea, Ian and her children still doing all they can to support and bring joy to their family.
I would like to share some points of what Ian and his family have gone through throughout the last two years.
•diagnosed with kidney failure over 2 years
•been on dialysis for 2 years
•3 heart operations…
1st one they didn’t think he would make it through
2nd one he died on the table twice
3rd one had a significant risk to his life
• He can not go to bexhill for dialysis because of his heart.
• Has dialysis at Brighton 3 times a week…takes up the whole day and takes it out of him.
• He spent about 20 weeks in Brighton Hospital last year. Most of that in intensive care.
• Because his kidneys do not do what they’re supposed to do the levels on his blood are all over the place and make him fell really low in w feet and just generally (shit).
•he can not work or do much in day to day life because it takes it out of him.
• Despite everything he’s been through he still laughs and jokes and tries to live as normal life as possible.
The guy is just amazing
please help this family live a little easier by donating what you can it will mean so much to them.
I would also like to add a short statement from Thea Minihane.
So the time has come…
I can’t keep seeing him suffer after everything he’s been through. It’s breaking my heart
You all know the story…
But what you probably don’t know is just how many tablets he has to take a day
That he has to go to Brighton 3 times a week for dialysis. 4/5 hours each time. Leaving at 6am. So with travelling it’s a 7/8 hour day. I can’t even begin to explain what Impact it has on his life.
He can only drink 500mls of fluid a day (that’s the equivalent of a bottle of prime )
He constantly feels like shit and has no real quality of life.
Ian is currently in Brighton hospital and has been for over 6 weeks after a bleed on the brain sepsis and now has picked up a gallbladder infection
So there’s no pressure. I’m just gunna leave the number n if anyone wants to get tested to see if they’re a donor match then great. if not, no worries.
I just want my family back.
If I could give him mine I would rip it out myself.
You don’t even need to be the same blood type. There’s kidney sharing scheme.
In my opinion no one deserves a Kidney more than this guy
