The Miracle Way

Hello everyone, I am Matthew Ribeiro and I’d like to take a minute of your time to introduce my family and what we have been going through the last few years. On June 5th of 2022 my dad Robert Ribeiro was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme Stage 4, a very aggressive brain tumor. Since then, he has been through one surgery and multiple rounds of chemo and is currently undergoing treatment for this aggressive cancer. This diagnosis and course of treatment has completely altered the course of my father’s life (as you can imagine) and our family’s life as well. This disease has weakened my father both mentally and physically. It has taken his physical strength to the point where he has had to give up certain roles and responsibilities. My dad has been a prominent figure in our island community as he has fulfilled the role of caretaker for Historic Island Properties and Buildings for the past 20 years. While we are grateful for this company's support for the last 20 years, my father and family have reached a point where our financial burden has surpassed our capacity. My father’s physical state has limited what he can do and while our family is working hard to meet his and our needs, we are coming to the community asking for some support. We come to the community knowing that we are living through hard times but if anyone is in a position in which they are able to help our family we would greatly appreciate it.
