The Miraculous Journey of Ellen

Note From the family:
First we just wanted to send a quick thank you and sincere gratitude to you for your prayers and well wishes. All of the cards and letters and packages have been keeping all of us in good spirits. The amount of love and support has been overwhelming. We have definitely felt your prayers for Ellen.
Ellen was admitted to the AI duPont Children's Hospital Cardiac Intensive Care Unit on August 1st with Heart Failure - Severe Dilated Cardiomyopathy. We learned on day 15 of her admission that it was caused by a Genetic mutation. Ellen was put on the list for a Heart Transplant on day 15 and on 8/20/19, day 20 she received her Gift of Life. Her new heart is healthy and perfect for Ellen to heal and come home to then to continue to live her best life.
So this is the Miraculous Journey of Ellen and what she and her family have been doing this summer. They need time to heal and understand and accept and breathe. Your prayers to Bishop Sheen to intercede on Ellen's behalf have been heard. Not only for Ellen, but for the other recipients that also received organ donations on 8/20/19.
Ellen's story is a miracle. 20 days from a hospital admission to a new heart is nothing we can complain about. She has a long road to recovery and everything that we know right now is that she is healthy, critical but stable as her new heart gets familiar with her body. She is in the best place for her healing.
With no doubt, God has chosen Ellen and blessed her with grace to be a way to Him.
We ask, that you offer your prayers to the family that have made a most difficult decision to donate organs. May God grant them peace in their time of sorrow. The Gift of Life is a most gracious gift.
God Bless you all,
The Salome Family
