The MS Gulf Coast Black-Owned Business Network “Elevation Council” is building a new co-working space in Gulfport, MS.
This project began out of the need to provide an inclusive, collaborative, professional and inspiring extension of our online efforts to support entrepreneurs and small businesses owners within our region.
Along with being a safe space for businesses that supports growth, learning and sustainability, our co-working space also will provide conference rooms, a place to record podcasts, space to hold business trainings and more.
It will be an inclusive space for us to grow, learn and positively impact our communities by expanding financial opportunities and promoting economic empowerment. The plan was to rehabilitate the building which will house our co-working space with resources being supplied by the building owner. However, as we have progressed in getting the needed building improvements and updates, it has been revealed that the entire sprinkler system for the 9,000-square-foot facility will need replacing at a cost of $50,000.
Our generous benefactor has agreed to continue assisting us in making the necessary repairs. But we also must kick in and also financially support our BIG dream to open this co-working space as well and our current resources are limited. This initiative is for US to realize some of the resources and opportunities we have been needing for decades. We must be willing to do the additional lifting to make it reach fruition. We have an amazing opportunity to create something significant and meaningful that will serve to be the foundation for a business boom within our communities.
Please help us to make this co-working space a reality by funding the needed updates to the sprinkler system.
