The Montgomery family in need of a new place to live
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Donna and this is the Montgomery family. Mike, Amber, Audra 15yrs , Charlie 8yrs and Wendy 4 years old. Mike met Amber and her two children and fell in love with them. He accepted Audra and Charlie as his own with love and pride to call them his. Audra, who is a smart, kind, tenacious young lady was born with Atrial Septal Defect, ADHD, ODD, SPD Immuno compromised a changed Hl1 genome. She had to have open heart surgery at the age of 3. Charlie a precocious, protective and kind young man who loves school and his friends. He's a proud big brother and will defend any injustice he sees or feels. He was born with a dysplastic aortic value and tricspid regurgitation, plmd along with sleep apnea and has to sleep with a CPAP machine at night. Not to long after they had Wendy 4 years old. Even being the youngest of the bunch, will step in front of her siblings with her arms out to protect them from any perceived danger. She may be small but with a big personality and heart. Making sure her brother and sister are never left out while making sure they know she loves them. Mike works long hours and very hard to take care of his family. They have lived in their apartments for just over 6 years.. He makes sure to give them a stable home, which is now in jeopardy. New owners took over and decided to renovate the entire complex, which many residents were excited to see. Mike and Amber's building is the last that need to be finished however instead of putting them in another unit temporarily, until their apartment is done they were informed right before Thanksgiving and Christmas that their lease would not be renewed. In order to take these apartments, which go for around $800 a month currently, complete the work so they can charge up to $1600 a month after renovation. So they made the decision not to renew their lease. They have paid their rent on time, as well as, never having a complaint from any of their neighbors. Taking a once stable home away from this family. It's heartbreaking hearing the children cry worried about having to leave their school, home and friends. As well as, putting extreme pressure on their parents to find a new place. They are expected to pay their current rent and bills while trying to come up with first, last month's rent deposit. While each place they apply requires $50 per adult for application fees which prove to be difficult. They are on an uncertain path with considerable stress to find another home for their family. I've watched this family help many other families with food, gas, rides to the stores and doctors appointments, never asking anything in return. I tell this family story during a time that should be spent celebrating family and happiness. So I am asking you to please consider donating, not just to help them find another stable home but to show this family that all is not lost and they're deserving. They are now in need of help and blessings that they so generously gave to others. Please consider donating to help them. May God bless you. Please keep them in your prayers.
Thank you,
Donna
