The Mouse and Bailey Memorial Fund

In the early hours of January 25/2017, the Small family woke up to find their century old barn fully engulfed in flames. They were not able to get within 200 feet of the barn due to the heat and flames, and tragically, were not able to save the 4 horses, ducks, rabbits and other pets sleeping inside. 

The cause of the fire is still unknown, but is a tragedy none the less. The lose of a historical barn and the lose of the lives of the many animals held inside is devestating to the family and their friends. 

The fur babies owned by the Small family were loved unconditionally. Each and every one of the animals was cared for and had every need tended to. The family would often go without, so that their animals could get what they needed and deserved. Nothing can ever replace these pets, or fill the void that is left in the hearts of their owners. This fire was a true tragedy that took the lives of animals far too soon. 

Sadly, insurance is only able to cover a small portion of what the Small family has lost, and will never be able to replace the bond that the family shared with their fur babies. The entire barn, foundation, equipment, paddock fencing and sheds all need to be rebuilt from the ground up. There are countless repairs that need to be made due to this loss, and insurance will only cover a small portion.

I have started this fundraiser because we need your help to support the Small family during their time of need and to replace the buildings that were destroyed and damaged in the fire. Nothing will ever replace the lives of the pets lost in this tragedy, but with your help, maybe they can start new, and once again offer forever homes with unconditional love to other animals in need. We are looking to raise as much as we can to support the family and help them rebuild, but if you cannot make a financial donation, they could use equipment for around the farm, shovles, buckets, wheele barrows, tractor, equestrian supplies or anything that you think may help. There is nothing too small and every bit will go a long way.
