THE NAGARADI GRAM PROJECT, rural education in India

The Nagaradi Gram Project was started primarily as an educational project in a rural area in Maharashtra, India, focusing on maths, science, electronics lab, value education and yoga training for school students and youth.

Gradually it expanded from schools to home through the - "Villages Bright Future program", where we are addressing the needs of farmers, women, youth and children. We try to empower people to get a more sustainable economic future.

And finally we integrate everything with a big program of spiritual education for villagers, teachers and leaders. We hope to train people who can replicate the project in the areas where they live.

The leader of The Nagaradi Gram Project is Ekendra Gaur Das. He has been living in rural Maharashtra and teaching maths, science and value education for over a decade now. He has also been practicing yoga and spirituality for more than 15 years, and now he is dreaming of building this great rural revolution for his home town of Manoli.

Manoli is a small agricultural town in the Parbhani district of Maharashtra. Despite having fertile land, the farmers here struggle due to poor irrigation. And this affects the quality of education the children receive. Consequently, many youth are affected by addictions and other bad habits and they need care and education.

We stand here inviting all of you to be part of this project in whatever capacity you can, in realising this wonderful dream of empowering the villages of Parbhani with physical, mental, social, economical and spiritual wellbeing.

We are creating a team of value education teachers, yoga teachers, sports trainers who will go to every single village.
