We would like to share an important development and miracle from our family~

Our nephew Christian and his lovely wife, Courtney, welcomed Miss Adalynn Grace on October 6th! Mama and baby are making heroic steps in light of quite the arrival. Let us share....

Leading up to the week of September 25th, Courtney was experiencing horrific pain; it caused her to be in and out of the hospital while carrying child. One late evening, she was in so much pain that Christian rushed her back to the hospital. After several tests, it was discovered that her appendix had ruptured. Emergency surgery ensued.....

The next two days included recovery and careful monitoring of baby. As surgery can be high-risk during pregnancy, they faced the reality that it had jump started labor. Baby was 28 weeks old. The medical staff and mama did as much as possible to convince baby to hang on. On October 6th, Christian and Courtney miraculously welcomed Miss Adalynn Grace. She was born weighing 2lbs 12oz, 15 inches long.

As mama says: "she was born 12 weeks early but she’s our little fighter."

Miss Adalynn continues to develop very well, however, has a long journey ahead. She remains in the NICU and will be for an extended time period. All the while Courtney recovers from a double surgery (appendectomy and c-section).

The blessing is that both are taking each of their own steps valiantly. However, as you could imagine, this was not according to their best made plans and it was a very critical situation for them both.

Our family, led by the aunts and great aunts, would like to rally special support for their family during this time. From prayer to donations to help with things like the excess travel, extended NICU stay, hospital stays, unexpected food and medical costs as well as time away from work.
