We are Shobha, Elisabeth, and Caroline; three members of the fiber community who are exasperated with traditional publications using Black, Brown, Indigenous, and Melanated People as tokens after decades of ignoring our existence.

In the words of our friends at LBYC,

"If it isn’t obvious by now, nobody is “coming to save us”; we must save ourselves. Put another way, if folks don’t want us at their tables or in their spaces, then we need to go out in this world and build our own tables and create our own spaces. We, as a collective, are no strangers to doing this."
