Help support Tim's travels to fight cancer!

After 2.5 years of battling stage four colon cancer with over 30 rounds of chemo & four major surgeries, the Nygard family is in yet another season of treatment for Tim. This time, it looks really different, and this new path brings newfound hope. Tim has been accepted into an amazing immunotherapy clinical trial at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. MDA is the leading cancer research hospital in the nation: “MD Anderson continues to explore cutting-edge translational and clinical research to develop novel therapies for patients through its world-class clinical trials program. Needless to say, this is where Tim belongs at this point. We are thrilled he is in this trial & feel the timing of inquiring about it & getting in, was truly divine.

We find this new journey to be exciting & filled with new faith in complete healing… and yet with this, comes many changes & numerous hardships in logistical & financial ways. Alicia will be traveling to Houston with Tim these first two trips, but then plans to mostly stay home with the kids. This will help maintain stability & will be easier than planning for time with both parents gone. So, Tim is accepting travel buddies - if you’ve had a hankering to visit Houston, let him know!

This is a GoFundMe to just plain make the Nygards life easier. Flights, rental cars, housing, meals, medical bills (scans, bloodwork, etc. only… the clinical trial medications are covered by the company sponsoring the trial) will be greatly supported by this pool of money & will be a huge blessing for a family already very inconvenienced by cancer.
