On June 8th Jessica Oeltjenbruns and her 2 children were in a severe car accident. They were hit on the passenger side by a truck very near their home. The kids were airlifted to Mayo Rochester and Jess was transported by ambulance. Jess was given the all-clear and was released that evening. She has some cuts and bruising but is otherwise okay. Her and her husband Mark are still in Mayo with their kids. Pray for emotional healing as they care for their little ones!
Their daughter (age 3) sustained hairline fractures of a rib and arm and has some swelling of the brain. She also has a laceration on her liver. This has raised her liver enzymes and she has not been able to have pain medication yet. She is so upset. Pending an good CT scan she'll be released from the ICU. Pray for comfort for this little girl!
Their son (age 1) has some bodily bruising and a fair amount of brain swelling. He is currently sedated and intubated (he is breathing on his own, it's more of a precaution) in an effort to give his brain and body time to rest and recover. He is not "out of the woods" yet as swelling peaks at 48 hours after a trauma. Doctors said his pupils and reflexes were good...so we wait. Please pray for swelling to diminish and NO lasting side effects!
Thank you for being a part of "Team Oeltjenbruns". Together we will ease their burden.
