*The Ojeda Family Needs Our Help*

For any of you that know Abbey Ojeda, you have likely witnessed first hand how she will help anyone at anytime. Nelson works hard, all the time, not just as a Tulsa Firefighter, but all the extra jobs too! Now, it's our turn to help their family.
During the routine 20 week anatomy and development for Baby Girl Ojeda, the doctor discovered she has a rare four-part heart defect, Tetralogy of Fallot.
She will need immediate intervention (and possible immediate open heart surgery at birth) to ensure she is getting enough oxygenated blood to her body. Then she will absolutely have to have an open heart surgery by about 4 months old to do what is referred to as a "full repair". They will patch her Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and do something to correct/replace the pulmonary valve that is blocked/small.
Because of the severity of the situation, the Tulsa doctor team (baby's, mom's, and pediatric cardiologist), have referred the delivery, care, and surgery to St. Louis where there are specialists there who can properly care for baby. Tulsa doesn't have the surgeons needed.
Minimally, they will have extended care after the birth for an estimated stay of a month for the first intervention. What follows will be many follow up visits, and then ultimately a greater extended stay for the open heart surgery that can be up to four months. They also will incur expenses caring for their two children in Tulsa.
Though Nelson will be on paid leave from Tulsa Fire Department....they will not be generating any income from Abbey's commission only job as a realtor for McGraw Realtors.
Let's help the Ojeda family relieve some of the financial burden and allow them to celebrate the joy of their third child and focus on the extensive care that she will need. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated by the Ojeda family.
