The Old Sod Robbed During #SaveTheSod Campaign
For the past 10 months we have been battling to keep our 45 year old business alive. Throughout the pandemic we have done everything in our power to keep our doors open. 14 hour shifts, 7 days a week for almost a year, constant pivoting to find new revenue streams because of Government restrictions not allowing us to resume business as usual. Our latest idea and last chance to survive has been our #SaveTheSod Christmas Trees campaign. The message was support local, help our small business while we offer our community a beautiful tree in return. The idea has connected us all during the holidays as best we can this difficult year and has been a success to keep us afloat.
Instead of that positive ending to a most terrible year, one despicable human being broke in to our business and robbed us. They robbed us of our hard earned sales, destroyed our property and jeopardized our business/livelihoods entirely. They robbed us of any chance for a Merry Christmas.
We have been resilient during this crisis and never wanted to resort to this but unfortunately after this unexpected disgusting act, we need to ask for your help to survive into the New Year.
Any donation is appreciated more than you could imagine. The Old Sod has been here since 1975 and we hope with your help we can get through this together and keep that tradition going.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
