Help Dan Bickel

On behalf of Mr. Bickel's family, we share this message:

My mom and I would like to thank everyone again for all of the love and donations for my dad. We have been overwhelmed at the outpouring of help.

My Dad passed away October 30th at home with family near. He valiantly battled prostate cancer but in the end it won. Until the very end, he only wanted to get better to get back to work. It was who he was: a hard worker

and a generous soul and he will be very missed.

There will be a gathering

Saturday, December 9th at 2:00 at the Bickel residence.

Dress warm if you plan to attend, light refreshments will be provided.

Our one and only Dan Bickel has been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer.

We are all saddened by this news, but in the spirit of Dan himself (aka the world's most generous man with the biggest heart ❤), we will pull together and lend our hearts, thoughts, prayers--anything we can--to support him in his time of need.

His treatment, lasting for the rest of his life, will require twice weekly trips to Chico.

We are asking for donations to help his family offset the cost of unforeseen medical expenses, lodging for when it may be necessary to stay overnight in a hotel during inclement weather, food while traveling, and gas for twice-weekly trips to Chico.

We know he would never ask himself because he is always the first to help others. This time it is our turn to help first.

We ask that you join us in supporting a man that exemplifies loyalty, generosity, friendship, and kindness.

He bleeds green for Chester Elementary School in that long sleeve t-shirt, hat, and blue jeans, and we love him; we know he is loved right back. Let's show him ❤
