Hello, we are Susan Collins and Sam Hampton, the Co-Directors of Blended Artists Productions, LLC.
We are raising money to help our town of Hillsboro, IL establish its very own live theater! This theater, the Orpheum Grand Theater, would not only give the Imagine Hillsboro Theater Group a permanent home for events, but would also give our community so many other opportunities for entertainment and fostering the arts in our town.
There is potential for music concert performances, event nights, classes, corporate events, keynote speakers, TedTalks, and so much more! All while stimulating our local economy in the process.
We have a vision of Hillsboro becoming a hub for arts and entertainment, and in doing so giving our youth a place to be creative, and building a community where they will want to stay, grow, and prosper. We believe that by building this theater it would enable us to bring that vision to life. Providing a space for more local entertainment options without having to drive a distance, and drawing the surrounding communities to us, with the potential to help bring new customers to nearby local businesses.
This project has already gotten off to an exciting start! Jeff and Julie Eisentraut, owners of the Orpheum Theater, have purchased the empty building next door to the theater and are working hand in hand with us at Blended Artists Productions to develop the plans and make this dream a reality. Then the Corona virus hit the world, putting this project at a stand still. We all know that theaters are getting a huge brunt of financial pain. We look forward to supporting them as they have helped to support our community. If you had memories of the past that were made at the Orpheum Theater or you want amazing new memories in the future, we need to come together to support them and help them survive at this time. Orpheum Theater is a key component to this community's survival. Please help us support the future of entertainment in our town. We are looking toward our future when all this is over.
Through this fundraiser we are looking help fund the costs or labor and supplies and equipment for the creation of the new live theater space. We are truly grateful for any donations during this trying time.
