The Oshiro Family
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Quincy and yesterday July 22nd, 2023, my family was involved in a terrible accident. My parent's home caught on fire twice within a twelve-hour window due to an electrical fire. They have lost everything. I’m setting this up for them to help get them back on their feet as they are currently homeless.
My parents have served the El Paso community for over 20-30 years. My father Victor, a retired Firefighter/Paramedic for the city of El Paso is currently a teacher at Bel Air High School. My mother Julie has taught high school students across the city for 20 years. They both have given back so much of themselves. Both my siblings Kalea and Miles, live with my parents and have lost everything. Kalea is a recent Navy Veteran attending UTEP. Miles is just about to begin his senior year of high school.
I know times are tough for a lot of people right now, but I'm hoping you can find it in your heart to contribute to this campaign. If you cannot donate money at this time, they are gladly accepting clothing donations and any other items they might need to start going back to some bit of normalcy.
It's hard to ask for help but at this point in time. My family needs all the help we can get.
Gift Cards to stores, to buy clothes or groceries, school supplies, and fast food are all welcome and appreciated.
July 24th, 2023 Update: In 24 hours you helped raise over 18,000 dollars. The response has been tremendous. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to everyone that has shared our story and donated. Thank you to everyone that has reached out to us to check in. There just aren't enough words to express our gratitude. Truly, thank you, thank you, thank you.
I know there were a few people asking about where they could drop off clothes, furniture, and other household items. At this current moment, we have no real place to store these items. We are still floating from place to place until the next steps are provided to us. As soon as more information is available we will update you. We appreciate your understanding and generosity.
