The Parmenter Family

Jamie is a 45-year-old loving wife, doting mother, cherished daughter, loyal sister and compassionate friend. She and her husband Mark have been married for 15 years. Mark is a police pilot officer in the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit in Florida. They have 4 beautiful children ages 10, 8, and 4-year-old twins, one of which has special needs. Jamie grew up in Fort Walton Beach, FL, where her parents and sister still live. She went to nursing school at Florida State University and completed her Masters degree in nursing with a certification in anesthesia from TCU.

Jamie Parmenter is simply an amazing woman who was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in October 2021. Jamie has endured extensive surgery, radiation, multiple rounds of chemotherapy, and supplemental investigational therapies. Despite all of these interventions, the cancer has spread.

Jamie has been the epitome of strength and perseverance to her family, friends and colleagues.

Despite her diagnosis and treatment plan, she has continued to work, delivering exceptional anesthesia care to her patients at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Additionally, she achieved a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of North Florida during her treatment. She has maintained the most positive outlook and is such an inspiration to everyone she meets.

This fundraiser was created to meet the needs of Jamie, Mark and their family during this difficult time.
